My name is Kellen Franklin, LCSW-C. I’m a mental health therapist with a social work background currently practicing in the state of Maryland.
As a therapist, I believe the best treatment is tailored to your individual needs rather than expecting you to fit into a singular approach. I am a fully trained EMDR therapist and have built my practice around trauma-informed care. I use an all around eclectic approach drawing from a bunch of different therapeutic methods, quantitative and qualitative research, and various memes/posts/videos I come across.
My strengths lie with adolescents and young adults who experience symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder, depression, anxiety, personality disorders, or those who experience interpersonal distress, thoughts of suicide and self-harm, or want to improve their relationships with themself and others. I am a member of the LGBTQ+ community and strive to provide respectful and affirming care to individuals of all identity backgrounds.
I know starting or re-starting therapy can be filled with all kinds of nerves and feelings, but we will take things at the pace you’re comfortable with. We’ll try our best together and see where that takes us!
